Rose & Citrus Tea for Tense, Irritable Days (Wood)
This is the kind of small ritual five-element food therapy loves: a handful of pantry items, five minutes, and a clear intention. Rose is traditionally used to move stuck energy; a little dried citrus peel adds brightness. Together they make a gentle evening cup for when the day left you tight and irritable.
Ingredients
- 5–6 dried rose buds (food-grade)
- 2 thin strips dried citrus peel (orange or tangerine)
- 250 ml just-boiled water
- Optional: 1–2 goji berries
Method
- Place rose buds and citrus peel in a small teapot or mug.
- Pour over just-boiled water and cover.
- Steep 5–8 minutes until the water turns pale pink.
- Sip slowly, away from screens.
When to reach for it
Traditional practice pairs this with Wood-time signals: a short temper, tight chest, or that “everything is annoying” feeling. It is a moment of care, not a treatment — and it pairs well with a short walk or stretching afterward.
